| The first annual canine carnival raised
over $17,000 for BC Pets and friend with over 2,000 people and 400
dogs. We are hoping to double that this year! The carnival theme includes
a dog fashion show, look-a-like contests, tarot-card readings for
your dog, magicians, and caricaturists, demonstrations of agility,
police dogs, and narcotic sniffing dogs. The silent auction includes
pet furniture, pet supplies, weekend getaways, golf packages and lots
of donations from local businesses. Don’t miss the biggest fur
& family event of the year!!! The first Canine Carnival in 2002 was such a huge success; the volunteers are keen to do the second one! We are still looking for items to be donated for the silent auction, so if you have any talents at creating furniture, clothing or unique items for dogs and their people, please help! Pets and Friends is a Registered Charity that screens, orients and places people and their pets in hospitals, hospices and extended care facilities for weekly visits.
